A Love Letter to Web 1.0

The late 90s internet was chaos. Before popup blockers, every website could spawn unlimited windows. Malware disguised as 'security warnings.' Casino games in your toolbar. This game recreates that era's visual language: the Windows 98 title bars, the bold promises, the impossible 'X' buttons that spawned more popups when clicked.

The difficulty curve is exponential. Spawn interval starts at 2 seconds and decreases by 50ms per second survived. By 30 seconds, popups appear every 500ms. By 60 seconds, you're facing 300ms spawns with multiple popups bouncing at 2x speed. The maximum popup count is theoretically unlimited.

Pro tip: Stick to the corners early popups spawn avoiding your position for the first 20 seconds. After that, they deliberately target you. The 1-second invulnerability after each hit is your only breathing room. Some players find circular movements work better than linear dodging.
