MAC Address Vendor Lookup
An instant MAC address lookup tool that identifies the hardware manufacturer of any network device by analyzing its MAC address prefix. Perfect for network administrators troubleshooting unknown devices on Wi-Fi networks, IT security teams auditing connected hardware, or anyone curious about that mysterious device showing up on their router. Enter any MAC address in any format and instantly see the manufacturer name and OUI (Organizationally Unique Identifier) prefix. Works client-side by querying the MAC Vendors API for fast, accurate results. Use MAC Address Lookup when you need answers fast during debugging, reviews, or incident triage. Paste your input, validate the output, then copy results into tickets or docs in seconds. Most processing runs in your browser, so you can test safely without unnecessary data exposure. Method details for MAC Vendor Lookup - Identify Manufacturer: Analysis surfaces concrete network signals including dns, latency, bandwidth, packet, port, subnet, and throughput, with explicit ipv4/ipv6 handling.
Accepts formats: 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E, 00-1A-2B-3C-4D-5E, 001A.2B3C.4D5E, or 001A2B3C4D5E

How to Use This Tool
- Enter MAC Address - Type or paste any MAC address in any format (colons, dashes, dots, or no separators)
- Click Identify - The tool normalizes your input and queries the global OUI database
- View Manufacturer - See the device maker, normalized MAC address, and OUI prefix instantly
Why This Method?
Every network device has a unique MAC (Media Access Control) address, a 48-bit identifier burned into the hardware. The first 24 bits (first 6 hexadecimal characters) form the OUI prefix, which the IEEE assigns to specific manufacturers. For example, OUI 00:1A:2B might belong to Apple, while B8:27:EB belongs to Raspberry Pi.
This tool queries the IEEE's publicly maintained OUI database via the MacVendors API, which contains over 30,000 manufacturer assignments. By extracting the OUI prefix from your MAC address and matching it against this database, we can instantly identify who made the device without any special network access or scanning tools.
This is invaluable for network security audits (identifying unauthorized devices), IoT device management (knowing what smart devices are connected), and troubleshooting network conflicts. The tool accepts all common MAC address formats and automatically normalizes them to the standard colon-separated notation.
